Home / Areas We Serve
Where our patients come from
We are on East 4th Street in Santa Ana, a few minutes from the 5 freeway, with free parking directly outside. That makes us straightforward to reach from most of north Orange County.

Our home city
Most of our patients are Santa Ana residents, and the practice has been part of the East 4th Street area for years — previously under the name Main Street Optometry.
Neighbourhoods we see most
Patients travel to us from across the city, but these are the areas we see week in, week out:
- Downtown Santa Ana
- Floral Park
- French Park
- Park Santiago
- Washington Square
- Riverview West
- Madison Park
- South Coast Metro
Getting to us
We are in Suite 280 of The Oaks, the two-story building set back from East 4th Street. Coming off the 5, exit at 4th Street and head west; from downtown, continue east along 4th past Grand Avenue.
Parking is free and in the lot directly in front of the building — no structure, no validation, no meters. Take the central stairway up and we are along the upper walkway.
Also serving north Orange County
Santa Ana sits in the middle of the county, so we are a manageable drive from a good deal of it.
Tustin
Immediately east of us. Patients from Tustin and Tustin Ranch usually come across on 4th Street or 17th Street, or down the 55.
Orange
Directly north, via Grand Avenue or the 5. A good number of patients from around Old Towne Orange and Chapman, particularly for children’s exams.
Garden Grove
West of Santa Ana along 17th Street or Garden Grove Boulevard. Many of these patients come to us for diabetic eye exams and medical eye care.
Costa Mesa
South, up the 55 or along Newport Boulevard. Worth the drive mainly for people who want an unhurried exam rather than the fastest appointment.
Fountain Valley
South-west, via the 405 and Harbor or Euclid. Commonly for urgent eye problems, where being seen this week matters more than being seen nearby.
Irvine & beyond
South-east along the 5. A regular choice for patients who have been with Dr. Mai for years and have since moved.
